I’ve been lusting for a pair of brightly soled oxfords for a while now, so when I spied this affordable pair at ModCloth I didn’t think twice about buying them. When they arrived, I was pleased to find the color was what I expected; I was a little worried about orange shoes. Not my usual choice in shoe color, but that was exactly why I bought them - I wanted an option for an unexpected pop of color.
This outfit started with the shoes; I could not wait to wear them. And while my first thought was to pair them with cuffed jeans, I decided to pair them with something more feminine. The delicate print of this dress comes across as an overall subdued palette, but there are a few bright colors including the two of my new shoes – bright orange and neon yellow. I would have loved to stop there, but the weather called for more, so I added layers that fit the boyish vibe of the shoes.

LOVE the shoes- such a fun color! And the layering is spot on- kind of excited for fall for that reason alone! :-)
