So, I dyed my hair red! I actually did it a week ago, but I still had a backlog of blond photos to work through. As luck should have it, going from bleached white hair to a dark yet vibrant red is one of the most challenging hair transitions. There were a few moments when I thought I’d be leaving with a buzz cut, but after about five hours, I emerged with exactly the color I requested. I’ve experimented with my hair quite a bit, and I’ve rocked nearly every color possible but never red. It always intimidated me, so while I like to keep a cool “it’s just hair” attitude when I head to the salon, this change made me a little nervous. At first I was a little unsure of my decision, but I’ve quickly grown to love it. What do you think?

It looks gorgeous! I had that color just before I went blonde. The transition is just equally difficult in either direction, but so worth the time and processing.

Um, yup, I LOVE IT! I think you need to play it up with a wine colored lipstick!

I like the red but I might be biased since I have the same colour in my hair. It's very pretty.

In the last photo it looks like the light fixture on the building is a hat. =) Confused me for a minute!

Thanks, Jasmine. At first, I found it difficult to dress for red hair. The first few days were all about blue. :)

Really? I can't imagine you with anything but your current color - it's soooooo perfect on you!

Wine colored lipstick? Yeah? I'm ashamed to say that I never wear lipstick, so the thought of wine colored lips scares me a bit...

Hee hee! Thanks, Kristy!

Thanks, Gaby. Generally when it comes to hair changes, I take the bold route. Red was a bit intimidating, but I am so happy I did it!

It''s mos def it the fiercest red do I've seen in a while now! I wish I was as fearless as you with my hair- "oh, it's just hair" line kills me, cuz it's the truth!

Your hair looks fantastic! Definitely worth the 5 hours. How is that you can dye your hair any colour and look so fab? I don't really think that's fair :)
