Dress: Rodarte for Target
Shirt: H&M
Tights: Hue (Nordstrom Rack)
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell (ModCloth)
Bag: L.A.M.B. (Nordstrom Rack)
Sunglasses: Ray Ban (Saks)
I was recently instructed to wear sequins to work - yes, you read that correctly! Normally I can’t stand being told what to wear, but sequins? How could I deny such a fun request? As I looked through my closet, I realized that I don’t really own much sequins. In fact, with the exception of a jersey dress with sequins trim, this dress is the only real sequins in my closet. A sequins ribcage and esophagus for a Friday at work? Hell yes. I didn’t want to look like I was in costume, so I had to find a way to make it look somewhat appropriate for a day at the office. Proving that there’s nothing I won’t pair with a button down, I layered the dress over this sheer pale pink shirt. The way the collar lined up with the esophagus made me giggle, and the soft color toned down the sequins (albeit slightly). Despite the odd glances, I was thrilled to finally wear this dress. I bought it years ago and had yet to find an occasion to wear it. Never did I think it would be to work!

That dress is too cool! Seriously amazing and unique.
Thanks, Courtney! While trying to figure out how to make it work for the office, I tried on several other variations that I can't wait to wear!
Thank you, friend!
Ha ha! That's right! :)
Well, I hope it was all you hoped for! And, yes, I did put my Santina all over that bitch - thanks for noticing!
Yes! I absolutely love that. Every time I caught a glimpse of that skeleton, I smirked!
Thanks, Holly!
This dress is so awesome. I don't particularly remember it standing out when the collection was released (mostly because the hoopla was around the cheetah print and tulle dresses) but this one is spectacular in its own right. You look amazing wearing it.
I LOVE that dress. The rodarte for Target collection was so good but I have to admit many of the items I wanted I couldn't figure out HOW to wear. This is perfect!
You are WORKING that dress. Gorgeous!

Thanks, Eli. It had been staring me down for years now - it was time to wear it!
Yes, I agree, Margot. And I actually tried to style this look as it was for the collection - with a black and white striped long sleeve underneath and biker boots - and it came across waaaay too angsty teen for my liking. I played dress up for a while before I decided on this!
Thanks, Maria!
Awwww, thanks, Jackie!
I know, right? And, the best part? Everyone was in sequins! I couldn't help but smile as I walked through the office and saw a sea of sequins!
Thanks for stopping by and following, Rhe!
I bought quite a bit of the Rodarte for Target collection - it was definitely one of my favorites!
Whoever instructed you to do sequins got it juzzzz right! Way too perfection with this dress, Santina!
