Who's That Lady?

| |

Dress: H&M
Tank: H&M
Belt: H&M
Necklace: Sloan Boutique (Portland, OR)
Ring: BCBG Max Azria
Bag: Louis Vuitton (vintage)
Shoes: Nine West
Sunglasses: Michael Kors (Nordstrom)

So, remember that amazing pleated skirt that Becca wore a few weeks back? Well, it sent me into a shopping frenzy for something (anything!) pleated, and I snagged a few items, including this dress. While it is indeed pleated, it was actually the collar that won me over. How cute is it? That, combined with delicate dots, just made me feel rather ladylike in this dress…and that’s not really something I often say. It’s not that I don’t feel feminine – definitely not! Even in my most boyish looks I always feel like a girl. But a lady? I think I swear too much for that.

I waited for the weather to allow me to wear this dress and took advantage of my first opportunity. A vintage Louis Vuitton bag and a brown braided belt felt just as classic as the dress, and my gold wishbone necklace was all the jewelry I needed. To finish it off I went with my nude wedges…because it’s apparent that I can’t stop wearing them.

YOU LOOK SO GORGEOUS, ELEGANT, and yes... LADY-LIKE!  Love how this dress is sexy yet demure with the modest length and high neckline. You've been dressing up differently lately. I remember your Mexican days when your outfits were mostly shorts, mini skirts, and casual tops. LOVE THIS NEW YOU :) (love the old you, too, though!)

Thanks, Andrea! There was no question in my mind about what bag I wanted to wear. It just felt right, you know?

Who is she? Where did she come from? When will the real Santina be back?!?!

You caught me, Becca! I'm about a week behind in photos. I wore this last week on that really nice day. I wore a cardigan all day in the office and deliberately went to the Mission for outfit photos (and drinks and food) because I knew it would be warm enough to take it off!

Hee hee. Yeah, it turns out that comfortable combined with a nude color is a perfect recipe for wearing the same shoes almost every day...almost. :)

Stop, I'm blushing!

Get it! I'm sure it would look gorgeous on you!

And the nail polish is Sephora Curacao. I got a lot of compliments on it!

Thanks, Paige! I'm really happy to have my white hair back. :)

Thanks, Kristy! Yeah, I stored all of my nicer clothes when I headed to Mexico. I definitely adopted a more laidback beach style, which fit my surroundings much more than if I was stomping around in heels (On cobblestone streets or sand? I don't think so!) and my "city clothes"!  Now that I'm reunited with my closet, it's fun to play around with things I've worn a lot in the past and make them new again. My style is constantly evolving, but some pieces work no matter what I'm going for!

Thanks! I seem to think these wedges are perfect with everything!
