The Smurf Pants

| |

Shirt: Sparrow (Urban Outfitters)
Pants: Zara
Shoes: Nine West
Bag: L.A.M.B. (Nordstrom Rack)
Necklace: Sloan Boutique (Portland, OR)
Bracelets: Marc by Marc Jacobs and Nordstrom

I knew it was going to happen sooner or later, and while I had hoped it would be a bit later, I think I did just fine all things considered. I mean, I shopped just once during the whole nine months I was in Mexico, and even though I don’t have a job yet, a girl deserves a treat every now and again, doesn’t she? I had walked past Zara too many times not to go in, and having never shopped there, I was pleased to find that, as expected, I pretty much wanted everything in the store. These blue pants, to which my boyfriend playfully referred as my “Smurf pants”, have been on my wishlist for quite some time. I love them. I had to have them.

I also had to wear them the very next day for dinner and drinks with Becca and Eli. I came up with a bunch of options, but this laidback button down won out. It brought just the right amount of boyish charm, which I played up a little more with a bow tie necklace. A few bangles, my foldover clutch (I really missed this bag), and a go-to pair of pointed toe heels finished off this look. I have to admit, I really like this outfit. It feels good to play dress up again.

Thank you! It's definitely an adjustment to be back in the States, but a cool new city and bright blue pants make it just that much easier!

Ha ha ha. Thanks, V!

Thanks, Kristy. Now when I can't resist the temptation of that MBMJ bag I fell in love with a few days ago but REALLY shouldn't buy, I know exactly who I'll go to for encouragement - you! :)

oh you are A-DO-RA-BLE lady. I love this look so much! I wish I had the body to pull off pants like that. My stupid lack of hips does not make me look anything like this! I love the smurf pants and I love how you put the rest together.
It's so fun seeing you in heels! and no sand! haha

I'm dying over that bowtie necklace!  The combo of those gorgeously blue pants and black is phenomenal.

Isn't it cute? It's a favorite of mine!

Thanks for stopping by, Amy!

That's how I felt, too. Once I tried them on, there was no doubt in my mind. They HAD to be mine!

Zara is dangerous. If I had to pick one store that I could only shop at for the rest of my life, it would be Zara. You look fantastic in these blue pants. I love how you styled them. It looks like San Fran is treating you well. You look like a San Fran local in this outfit! I mean, I guess you're a local now :)

I love those blue pants! I would have a hard time saying no shopping at Zara. I actually go to the website, and use it as inspiration. They have such great stuff.

If by smurf you mean absolutely cute, then yes. You look so wonderful that night!

The outfit is adorable! I'm excited to see you without your sunglasses. A first for me! You are a beauty! PS - Were you tempted to call your boyfriend "papa smurf" while you were wearing these pants? Nah, maybe that's just my feeble brain. ;)

Those blue pants look amazing on you. Not everyone can pull them off like you.
I hope you are acclimating to SF. I'm looking forward to following you in the next journey.

I scrolled by this post twice because you just look so relaxed and happy and pretty. I mean, maybe you are not relaxed, as job hunting and settling is stressful but you look  dynamite!

Santina said...

In all honesty, Jentine, I was a bundle of nerves when these photos were taken. I was just about the catch a bus to meet up with Eli and Becca, and since meeting other bloggers is really new to me, I was so nervous! I'm happy I can fake it like a pro though! :)

Santina said...

Thanks, Linda. I was a little worried the pants would be a little too much, but I looooove them!

Thank you!

"Papa smurf"? Ha ha ha ha. That is hilarious. I didn't, but I kinda wish I had!

Thanks, lady!

Sorry to break it to you, but SF is gonna keep Becca for a while. You should come visit her here and then we could meet, too! :)
