Oh, hi. Remember me? I know; it’s been a while. Two weeks…what a difference two weeks make. I said goodbye to Mexico, and hello to San Francisco. And then I said hello to the stress of searching for an apartment while living in a hotel room with two cats and a longboard. It wasn’t fun, but after a series of real estate letdowns, the boyfriend and I found an apartment and moved right in. Since then my days have been spent combing the internet for jobs, slowly unpacking, exploring my new city, playing Tetris, and eating a lot of pizza.

I decided this was the day to return to outfit photos mostly because it was the warmest day since I arrived. Not yet fully unpacked, these shorts were right on top of one of my bags, begging to finally be worn with a pair of wedges. (And, when I say, “not yet fully unpacked”, I’m not referring to my shoes, of course; they’re all unpacked.) There were so many options, but in the end I thought this pair of peep toe wedges were a perfect match for such feminine shorts. A black scoop neck and denim blazer were just right for a warm but windy day, and when it came time to choose a bag, this poppy one was the only choice.

I'm so glad you found a place! I once lived in a hotel room with my cats and husband for a week and it damn near killed me so I'm really happy that you guys found a place and now you have a space in which to eat pizza and play tetris. And I love your shorts - just had to interject that.

Yay to finally settling down to a new home (albeit the job search and unpacking) :) LOVE the cheery bright outfit, especially your bold red purse. I always have a soft spot for Marc Jacobs. One of my favorite designers EVAAAAA! :)

Welcome back! I am glad the city hasn't sucked the color out of your life, that bag is adorable and so is the blazer. I hope you get a job that still leaves you time to post outfits!

Thanks so much, Tanvi!

Thanks for the reminder, V! It's all too easy to get overwhelmed by all there is to do.

Ah, I'm happy you understand exactly what I mean about living in a hotel. It's not nearly as fun as it sounds...actually, it wasn't fun at all. The room felt smaller with each day that passed!

I saw these shorts in H&M the other day, so you might be able to find them if you want to. They are one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing I own!

I'm with you on Marc. I can actually walk to a Marc by Marc store from my apartment - dangerous!!!

Thank you!

It's funny that you mention color. One of the first things I noticed about SF's style is all the black. Coming from that small beach town where black was associated with death, it's definitely a transition but I'm determined to keep my pops of color!

Yay I'm so glad you found a place! And you look stunning, as always! Those shorts are completely fantastic. Glad you're getting settled!

I love how you're rocking those shorts in the big city now.  And yeah, I'd have unpacked all my shoes immediately, too.

Love how the color of the bag ties together with the print of your shorts. You look great!

I'm so confused! You're not on a beach. And you're wearing heels! But you're still gorgeous and looking adorable, so at least that part hasn't changed.

I am so glad to see your lovely face.  It's almost strange to see you in heels after all this time. I hope you can find an awesome job, and everything falls into place for you guys.

GREAT first post, Santina.  It warms my heart to see your shoes, bags, and clothing freed from the confines of the Pod :)  And I want to see your header changed from "from "city" to sand to city"... cause, you know, it's sort of a stretch to call Portland a city :)

Santina said...

All too true, Erin. It's definitely a stretch to call Portland a city, but compared to Sayulita? Ha ha. I need to do a bunch of blog updates to reflect my new home of San Francisco!

Yeah, this bag was screaming from the Pod. It NEEDED out. How could I ignore it?

Thanks for stopping by, Paige! Nice to meet you!

Thanks, Eli! I'm definitely looking forward to new adventures!

And, yes, I'm going to the swap...I just need to dig out some clothes to take with me.

The sun definitely exists here (unlike Portland); it's just not that warm. Of course, it was 80 and beautiful yesterday, so I can't complain!

Santina said...

To be honest, Vanessa, it's almost strange to be in heels! Ha ha.

Thanks for your well wishes. Fingers crossed I find a good job!

Wait a minute...now I'm confused. Are you saying you don't see the beach in these pics?!?! :)
