Simple But Honest

Dress: Free People (old)
Shoes: Mossimo Supply Co. (Target)
Necklace: a gift
Sunglasses: Forever 21

I wasn’t going to snap outfit photos this day. I mean, what is there to say? It was scorching hot and I was starving for lunch; simple was best. Just a dress, a necklace and a striped pair of espadrilles and I was out the door and headed straight for a torta and fries. As always, I was able to think much more rationally once I ate and I decided to take a few pics. Sure, it’s not my shining fashion moment but it’s honest…and I’m nothing if not honest.

I think it's alot to dress so complex every day, so once in a while you just need to simplify your life. I can totally appreciate this outfit! The flowers are so pretty too :)

That's a very cute and flattering outfit! The simplicity lets the little details of the outfit (the stitching on the dress, etc) as well as your great skin tone shine.

Love the location. When I lived in Brazil those purple flowers were everywhere. Makes me miss being down south.

I prefer honest fashion every single time. This is something I would wear. A blogger I used to read said that they tweak their outfit after every single outfit of the day photo shoot. After they said that I lost interest in their blog, and ended up unfollowing. I mean what's they point if you didn't wear it?

I dig honesty! Sometimes theres a whole lot of focus on putting together really editorial, impressive outfits. But that's not how my life works. There as just as many days where I throw something on and run out the door.

I agree with Becca here. So loving the honesty. And honestly? I love your look. It's realistic and shows that fashionable can be played down a bit. I think your tan is killer. Need I say more? ;)

That's what I was thinking, Erika! As long as I'm tan, who cares? Everything looks better with a bit of a glow!

Exactly, Becca! That's just not how my life works. When I'm hungry, I need to get out the door as quickly as possible...especially when there's a torta involved.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Courtney!

I'm with you, Vanessa. I want to see what people are actually wearing...not just what they wore to take outfit pictures!

Ooooh, I bet this dress would look lovely on you!

I totally understand. As the countdown to my return to the States continues, I find myself taking more photos of flowers. I'm going to miss them!

OMG, this comment made me laugh. I love it! You know, I have been feeling like a baller lately...now I know why!

Some days simple just feels best. I was too weakened by hunger to fight it! :)

Simple? Your shoes have stripes. Stripes are a party, every time. Take it from me. :)
