| Sometimes Pink Tights Just Aren't Enough // Mixed Prints...Finally! |
As my time in Mexico quickly comes to an end I thought it might be fun to feature a few pieces that served me well in both a city and in sand. First up is this polka dot skirt. I can’t help but laugh that I first wore this back in June and yet it still wasn’t warm enough in Portland to go without tights. Fast forward to November when I rocked it with just a tank. Yeah, I’m going to miss the weather.
Doesn’t this feel a bit like a “who wore it better”? Tell me, friends: who wore it better? The pale girl in the pink tights or the tan one in the striped tank?

I love both looks, but the tank and skirt seem to win me over. You look more happier and confident:)
First, that skirt is just fabulous. Second, I'm a sucker for well-done pattern mixing, so the second look is winning me over, but just by a smidge. Did I just type smidge? I need to get more sleep....
Oh my goodness - I miss that platinum blonde bowl cut. Have you given any thought to what you'll do with your hair once you're back in the states?? I can't wait - 2 weeks and you'll be here!!!
I miss it, too, Becca! It's funny because I usually don't even think about hair styles that have come and gone, but I'm definitely considering going back to the bowl cut! We'll see...
I think I like the second one better, as well. I remember being quite proud of myself for mixing prints!
I agree with you; I definitely look much happier!
It is a tie. But I love layering so maybe I'll veer towards Portland. Oh who am I kidding? I love the simple polka/stripe combo of the beach!
while it serves a good purpose in both, i gotta say, i like it paired with the stripes!!!! plus, you look so happy in the sand :)
OMG! Look so different in both the shots!!! I like them both ... Really do!
Oh, this is a fun feature! I know you're going to miss Mexico, but I'm excited to see how your style evolves once you're settled in San Fran. I have to say, I really like both stylings, especially the skirt with the denim blazer. You did a great job styling the skirt for the sand though. A+ for the pattern mixing :)
You look totally different in both. I can't even decide which I like better. Both are adorable pictures!!

I think both girls wore it awesome. One is uptown chic, and the other is beach bomb.
I love this comparison. I am beyond curious to see how your style will evolev again once you are back in the U S of A.....
City Santina & Sunshine Santina both pull this skirt off marvelously. Though, I do have to say that your face looks so full of sincere joy while you're standing on the beach.
I knew you wouldn't be able to resist those stripes, Bella!
I'm so happy you like it! I was surprised at how many items I could feature, so stay tuned for more!
I almost forgot about that denim blazer. I look forward to seeing it again...and given the weather in SF right now, I'll be wearing it!
"Beach bomb"? Thank you, Vanessa!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Bonnie!
I do love the beach! Not to mention that it was raining while we snapped that photo in Portland. At that point, I already knew I was moving to Mexico, and I just remember being so over the weather!
Soon enough, Jentine...soon enough!
